Beyonce’s ‘B’day’ 20th Anniversary Activation

Blend Theory coordinated, planned, and designed Sydney’s celebration of Beyoncé’s B’Day 20th Anniversary, commemorating the repress of the iconic album on vinyl with a night centred around music, culture, and immersive experiences at JAM Record Bar.

The activation brought the album’s vinyl format to life through a lineup of vinyl DJs spinning throughout the night, accompanied by live horns and saxophones. Alongside the music, Blend Theory developed and coordinated a range of custom experiences and details, including branded matchbooks and napkins, a UGC-focused photoroom, custom drinks and food, and additional venue activations designed to create a cohesive B’Day experience from start to finish.

The event showcased Blend Theory’s ability to take a cultural moment and translate it into a fully considered physical experience — combining music, design, hospitality, and social-first activations to create an environment that felt authentic to both Beyoncé’s legacy and Sydney’s creative community.
